BAL-SAGOTH (ENGLAND) - NO DEMO COVERS

A Dark, Black neo-Pagan "Battle" Metal band out of Yorkshire with a predilection for lengthy song titles and mind boggling conceptual collages of multi-faceted, antediluvian Metal extravaganzas. BAL SAGOTH, titled after fantasy novelist Robert E. Howard's story 'The Gods Of Bal-Sagoth', was formulated as an idea by vocalist Byron Roberts as early as 1989, then billed DUSK, but it would not be until July 1993 that the Maudling siblings guitarist Christopher and drummer Jonny involvement took the concept into a band format. Further draftees in September of the same year, bassist Jason Porter and keyboard player Vincent Crabtree brought BAL SAGOTH up to full strength and by the close of the year an inaugural demo had been cut.

1993 DEMO DAT

NO COVERS MADE. We never officially released the demo, so there is no cover. I just sent it out on the underground tape trading network in order to circulate it, back in 1993. We were already preparing to record a full album, which is why we never gave the demo a formal release, plus the tracks were never completed... there were still elements missing from the recordings. A few years ago we remastered the demo tracks from the original DAT, and I have both the old and new masters in the vault. I'm thinking about going back and completing the tracks and releasing them at some point. - BAL SAGOTH
